Having been left on the continental shelf at the end of the last ice age,
the island of Great Brickain has a varied physical geography.
From the mountains and lakes of the North, to the dull, boring, flat
Southern bits, the Brickish people carry on their daily life under almost
constant leaden skies, apart from the two sunny weeks in summer, which occur
just before they go on holiday.
The far north of the island is a very rugged and mountainous wilderness,
filled with wild Blockish people, some of whom speak a different language. But
even those who speak English can be hard to understand at times. Blockland was
an independant country until a hundred years ago, but now it is ruled from
Brixton, although Blockish laws are still maintained north of the border. |
